The partnership began after Mats discovered Angelina’s remarkable performance on “Golden Day” from the Monks Road Social project’s debut album “Down The Willows”. Captivated by her distinctive voice and expressive style, he immediately reached out, leading to a creative exchange that quickly developed into a full album project. The combination of Glam Sam’s rich, groove-driven production and Angelina’s powerful storytelling creates a fascinating contrast, bringing together atmospheric arrangements, soulful moments, and deeply personal themes. Songs such as “Runaway Trains” capture the spirit of freedom and transformation, while “I Talk In Colour” creates a vivid scene filled with jazz textures, funk rhythms, and poetic reflections on love.
