HOXSEY – GHOST WE KEEP

Hoxsey’s Ghost We Keep opens the door to a strange, cinematic world where traveling circuses, forgotten towns, haunted roads, and mysterious characters become part of an unfolding story. Released on August 25, 2026, the 11-track album moves through alternative rock, indie, punk, gothic textures, and experimental sounds with a fearless sense of imagination. From “Skeleton Key” and “The Introduction of Sgt. Capone” to “A Ride With the Four Horse Men in 1888,” each chapter adds another layer to a world that feels both familiar and unsettling.

The album’s traveling-circus imagery gives Ghost We Keep a distinctive visual identity, but its themes reach far beyond Halloween. Hoxsey explores memory, mortality, identity, nostalgia, abandonment, and the lingering presence of experiences that refuse to disappear. Songs such as “The Road” and “Josaphina” provide quieter, more intimate moments, creating a striking contrast with the darker and more theatrical passages elsewhere. The writing carries a diary-like quality, preserving fragments of moments and experiences while allowing listeners to form their own interpretations.

Created in collaboration with Peppermilk, the project embraces unpredictability without losing its sense of direction. Hoxsey’s genre-blending approach allows punk energy, indie-rock sensibilities, gothic atmosphere, acoustic elements, and experimental textures to coexist within one expansive setting. Tracks including “Skeleton Key,” “Charm Cider,” “Pixelated Whorror,” “Scratches Julian Man,” and “Corpses Ball Room” contribute to the album’s surreal character, making the journey feel like a sequence of encounters along a deserted road after dark.

Ghost We Keep succeeds as a fully imagined artistic universe rather than simply a themed seasonal record. Its combination of theatrical storytelling, unconventional genre influences, and haunting imagery gives the album a character of its own. Hoxsey’s ambition to create a lasting Halloween classic is evident in the scale of the concept, yet the album’s strongest appeal comes from its deeper reflections on the things people carry through life. It is a mysterious, adventurous record that rewards listeners willing to step beyond the familiar and wander into its world.
