Dedicated to a storm that passed through the artist’s surroundings, the project captures the emotional traces left behind by moments of upheaval while discovering beauty within the remains of what has been changed.

The record explores a world of ambient post-inspired lullabies, creating a delicate balance between fragility and intensity. Each piece develops with a sense of movement and patience, allowing layers of sound to emerge like memories resurfacing after a long silence. The brass performances by Luc Lagier add further character to the arrangements, while the voice message featured on “Le chant du fracas,” sent by Nina during a stormy night, introduces a personal element that deepens the album’s connection to real-life experiences. The result is an immersive collection shaped by atmosphere, emotion, and vivid imagination.

As the solo project of the founder of the collective Founding our own Glorious Chapels, NOTRE DAME DE LA COLLINE continues to represent a space for personal exploration and artistic growth. What began as a challenge to create an album independently has developed into a meaningful creative journey, leading to performances and connections with musicians across different regions. Recorded at Studioblanche, the album reflects the artist’s complete vision, extending from the compositions to the self-created graphic design, while the illustrations by French artist Caleana Triens add another layer of depth to its poetic identity.
