“The singer-songwriter, who launched her career with Universal Music Group and most recently released an album independently, has now signed with Warner Music Group.”
Clairo has officially joined a new record label. Following the independent release of her most recent album Charm, the singer-songwriter has now partnered with Atlantic Records, part of Warner Music Group.
In a press statement, Clairo expressed her excitement about the move: “I’m so excited to start this new chapter with Atlantic. From our very first conversation, they really understood where I’m coming from, and it feels reassuring to know I can keep exploring my creativity freely with such a strong partner.”
Elliot Grainge, Chairman and CEO of Atlantic Music Group, praised the signing, saying: “Clairo is one of those rare artists who transforms the musical landscape just by staying true to herself. She’s not only a defining songwriter of her generation, but also a visionary with a one-of-a-kind style. We’re privileged to have her join the Atlantic family for the next stage of her journey.”
Clairo first broke into the industry with Fader Label, an imprint of Universal Music Group (UMG). With them, she released Diary 001, Immunity, and Sling—the latter in collaboration with Republic Records, another UMG label. In 2021, prior to releasing Sling, she also signed a worldwide publishing deal with Universal Music Publishing Group.
