Listening to WATCH ME DIE INSIDE – Infinity Fall I feels like stepping into someone else’s head at a moment when everything is quietly falling apart. This EP doesn’t come across as something carefully engineered to meet expectations—it feels instinctive, almost confrontational in how honest it is. Aleph isn’t trying to explain himself or soften the edges. Instead, he leans fully into the tension between heaviness and vulnerability, letting the songs breathe in their own uncomfortable space. The sound carries weight without relying on constant chaos, and that restraint makes the darker moments hit harder. You can hear the years behind this project, not just in skill, but in patience.
The opener, “Infinity Fall I,” sets the emotional direction immediately. It feels like a slow drop rather than a sudden impact, pulling you downward with layered guitars, cold electronic textures, and melodies that feel distant but intentional. “Weak Tension” lives up to its name by never fully exploding; it simmers, dragging emotion out instead of forcing it forward. There’s something unsettling about how controlled it feels, as if the track is holding back on purpose. “Something Is Wrong” closes the EP on a bleak, unresolved note, and it works because it doesn’t pretend to offer closure. The unease lingers, which feels honest rather than dramatic.
What makes Infinity Fall I work is that it sounds like Aleph knows exactly what he wants to express, even if it isn’t easy to define. His blend of deathcore weight, melodic instincts, electronic layers, and black metal atmosphere doesn’t feel stitched together, it feels lived in. The self-created genre name may sound extreme, but the music itself feels grounded and sincere. This EP won’t grab everyone instantly, and that’s its strength. It rewards listeners who sit with it, absorb it, and accept that not all heavy music is meant to feel comfortable.
