‘Make Classical Music Great Again’ consists of seven spontaneous piano solo improvisations recorded in 2026 and focuses on the piano by being based on unplanned musical expression. Instead of adhering to a prearranged composition, the album is centered on improvisation and thus enables each piece to arise from the moment. This method gives the album its own particular character, encouraging listeners to appreciate the piano via ideas developed spontaneously rather than through a set musical structure.
In the seven improvisations contained in the album there is a direct link between the instrument and the creative process; since the piano is the only instrument used, focus stays firmly on the musical ideas presented in the entire collection. Each of the improvisations helps to further the album’s broader investigation into spontaneous expression, with the emphasis being on what can be achieved with a single instrument and no other musical elements being introduced. The simplicity thus gives the various pieces a clear chance to stand independently.
The recordings were made in 2026 and also show the open-ended character of piano improvisation; since there is no traditional selection of pre-determined songs, the album takes shape through instances of musical discovery and thus gives spontaneity a key position in its presentation. Although the seven pieces form a single, cohesive collection because of their similar approach, the improvisational format means that each performance can be seen as a separate expression. The listeners are therefore asked to take part in the music as it develops and to appreciate the creative freedom which is characteristic of the project.

‘Make Classical Music Great Again’ provides a concentrated listening experience for people who are interested in solo piano and improvised music. Its character comes from the use of a single instrument, seven spontaneous performances, and a creative process that is based on the present moment. Since the piano is kept at the heart of the whole collection, there is space for musical ideas to unfold without the requirement of a bigger group or complex production. As a whole body of work, it presents improvisation as the key feature of its artistic approach and gives listeners the chance to enjoy the piano through a direct and spontaneous kind of musical expression.
