Emerging from the shadows of Los Angeles’ metal underground, The Whispering Part 1 arrives with the confidence and force of a veteran act rather than a debut release. Led by the enigmatic LUCIAN FHOR on vocals and guitar, THE WHISPERING wastes no time establishing a dark and cinematic identity built on aggression, atmosphere, and precision musicianship. From the opening moments of the self-titled track, eerie whispered voices and ominous textures pull listeners into a world where rebellion, mysticism, and heavy metal collide with striking intensity.

What makes this EP especially compelling is the caliber of talent behind it. With LOIC COLIN delivering thunderous and technically refined bass work, alongside drumming contributions from Swedish metal icon TOBIAS KELLGREN and Megadeth/Soilwork powerhouse DIRK VERBEUREN, the record carries an unmistakable sense of authority. Every riff lands with purpose, every rhythm section transition feels calculated, and yet the music never loses its raw emotional edge. THE WHISPERING successfully balances classic heavy metal energy with modern alternative metal textures, creating a sound that feels both timeless and contemporary.

Production quality also elevates the experience to another level. Recorded at Besco Recording Studios in France under producer Dan McConomy, mixed by Mohammad “Momo” Sadeghin, and mastered by legendary engineer Randy Merrill at Sterling Sound, the EP sounds massive without sacrificing clarity. The sonic landscape is rich, layered, and immersive, allowing each instrument room to breathe while preserving the record’s relentless power. The attention to detail becomes increasingly apparent with every listen.

Beyond the music itself, LUCIAN FHOR’s artistic vision gives THE WHISPERING a unique identity. His lyrical focus on injustice, oppression, and societal hypocrisy injects substance into the band’s dark aesthetic, while his extensive performance background with Cirque du Soleil hints at ambitious live shows yet to come.
